Ms. Nicole

Owner & Director

Nicole is the proud owner and director of Joyful Arts Movement, a lively dance studio where creativity and self-expression take center stage! With over 32 years of dance experience, Nicole’s passion for dance is contagious, and she’s built a space where everyone feels welcome.

After a decade of working in the dance industry, Nicole has taught dancers of all ages and skill levels—from beginners just starting their journey to advanced dancers perfecting their craft. She’s all about creating an environment that helps each dancer grow and find their own voice through movement.

When she’s not teaching or running the studio, Nicole loves spending time with her daughter, husband, and three dogs. She’s also a big fan of reading and organizing. Nicole’s deeply committed to giving back to the local community with philanthropic programs and collaborations that make a difference.

Ms. Abby

Dance Teacher & Founder

Ms. Abby has been teaching dance for over 20 years and has a passion for inspiring students of all ages, from one-year-olds to adults. She became the owner of GYDA at 19 and successfully ran it for 17 years before passing it on to Ms Nicole.

In addition to her work as a dance educator, she volunteers at Miner’s Theater and is a local high school dance team coach.

A mom to a dance-loving five-year-old girl, Ms. Abby also enjoys reading, painting, and always wears a bow in her hair—her signature accessory. With experience teaching in public, private, and homeschool settings, as well as at the studio, she brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to everything she does.

Ms. Carrie

Dance Teacher

Ms. Carrie is originally from Iowa and a proud pug owner with two adorable pugs who keeps her on her toes. She has a passion for reading, finishing over 100 books a year, and a deep love for college football.

Ms. Sidney

Dance Teacher

Ms. Sidney has been dancing since 2 years old and joined because she spent many nights watching her sister in dance class. In her free time, she does freelance photography work!

Ms. Jayme

Dance Teacher

Ms. Jayme is a proud animal lover with a deep passion for math—especially Calc 2! She’s the favorite aunt to her five niblings (four nephews and one niece) and is determined to keep that title (sorry, Jenna!). A dedicated student, she’s graduating this year with no debt, thanks to multiple scholarships and grants.

She’s worked hard to pay off the remainder of her tuition while juggling multiple jobs and managing school and home life.

When she’s not studying or spending time with family, you can find her enjoying Adam Sandler movies and staying active. Fun fact: she writes with her left hand but plays sports with her right!”

Ms. Grace

Dance Teacher/Hostess

Ms. Grace graduated from cosmetology school and specializes in nails. When she is not working with clients, she loves spending time with her two cats and two dogs—they keep life full of fun and love.

Ms. Maura

Dance Teacher

Ms. Maura has been dancing for 15 years and loves every moment of it! When she’s not dancing, she enjoys reading, playing tennis, and acting in plays. Spending time with her family and friends is one of her favorite ways to relax and recharge.

Ms. Beth

Hostess/Dance Teachers Apprentice

Ms. Beth is passionate about both dancing and reading, with a deep love for working with young children and helping them grow. She’s been dancing at JAM (formerly Gracefully Yours Dance Academy) since the age of three, and she hopes to one day teach a language at the studio.

She is also a black belt in martial arts.

In addition to her love of dance, Ms. Beth enjoys sugary treats and activities that remind her of her childhood. Her current dance goal is to dance at JAM for 15 years, while outside of dance, she’s focusing on getting more organized and finishing craft projects. She has a natural ability to connect with kids, making her a wonderful mentor and role model for young dancers.
